This is one of those “damn it, I am not qualified to write about this…” topics that I want to write about. Therefore, I encourage any of you who feel you are more qualified to correct me accordingly.
The term “revisionist history” is one I don’t like. Yes, there are revisionist histories that try to – for example – argue that the holocaust didn’t happen, but those are just outright misrepresentation, rather than actually revising how we see some historical event or period. Revision may entail completely re-assessing something we thought we understood, based on new facts.
I’ve seen these before, hanging on a rack in the kitchen of a very shi-shi seafood place in New York. At the time, I did not realize what I was looking at, nor was I qualified to appreciate it.
I’m going to be 60 in 2022, and I’m already falling apart a bit.
I was thinking about “trolley car problem”s the other day and thought, “I have a friend who has kids, maybe I should give them a trolley car experiment playset for Xmas”*
This is an oft-repeated story in America: a suspect is sitting in a car, and several police appear with guns drawn, then pepper the car and suspect with bullets. Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done.
I don’t expect even Trump is stupid enough to trumpet this particular endorsement – but he’s got an international fan-base!
This bothers me a lot. Not because SpaceX is not qualified to do this, but because it shows that the military/industrial complex has gotten their nose under the tent. Once they become one of your biggest customers, then they can subtly threaten your bottom line and ask for “favors”
This is embarrassing but I’ve just got to rant a little bit about “conservatives” and conservative pride in their ignorance.
