The Trump Administration is swirling around the drain, but they’re probably too chunky and stubborn to flush. Instead, we’re going to wind up with nasty-water all over the place and blocked political plumbing. The republicans are playing the “blocked toilet” strategy in every state where they still have enough power to cling to, why would anyone in their right mind expect a party of power-hungry authoritarian goons to let go and walk away nicely?
These stories may have appeared elsewhere in comments I’ve made, but why not pull them into a posting of their own?

This inaugurates a category for this blog, titled, “another dead oligarch.” Hopefully it will see a certain amount of activity, since oligarchs tend (by their nature!) to be old. Unless you’re born with the magic god-mode code, you’ve got to spend a few years using daddy’s money to climb over the mounded corpses of your inferiors.
As you probably recall, I am not a fan of Psychology. It too often relies on naming things and passing the name off as an explanation for the thing. It’s simple appellomancy [oglaf] – names have power.
