I don’t spend much time on youtube. Usually, I decide I am interested in something, then race around and download a bunch of the videos for later review while I’m doing something else.
I am a total sucker for “fortress of solitude” type buildings. There is some part of me that wishes I could just teleport myself to Mars, like Dr Jupiter, and build a place where I could do my thing and the rest of the world could leave me alone.
I generally ignore twitter. But sometimes, something happens there that just screams, “ignore me some more!”
There is a glass-worker on etsy who does lovely slumped glass viruses, bacteria, trilobites, etc.
I’m not sure if this is a rule of evolution, or not, but it seems to me that any niche that’s capable of supporting something, will get filled. Once the niche is filled, you then see various strategies: small, fast, high reproductive rate versus larger predators that invest energy in giant teeth and brains.
