    Blowback

“Blowback” is the CIA’s term for “nasty things that happen because of something we did, which we did not plan for.” I guess that makes it sound a bit like it’s not our fault; it’s just something that happened, gosh, it’s time to move on already isn’t it?

Why Not Post It To Pastebin?

I’ve written about this before: the design methodology used to produce the F-35 makes it nearly impossible to maintain any kind of secrecy regarding its technology.

    Oh, Great

This bothers me a lot. Not because SpaceX is not qualified to do this, but because it shows that the military/industrial complex has gotten their nose under the tent. Once they become one of your biggest customers, then they can subtly threaten your bottom line and ask for “favors”

I Blew Right Through My Own Holiday

I declared June 10 to be “facial recognition” day, and this year I didn’t do a posting about it.

A Bit More on Nuclear Espionage

The scenario we usually believe has Roosevelt, who was ailing and near death, participating in the Yalta conference with Stalin and Churchill – dividing up the spoils after Japan was going to be conquered.

    That Weird Assange Gambit

This story has not gotten enough media coverage. I suspect it’s because the news has discovered that ordinary Trump crimes don’t sell papers anymore; none of it matters.

Wonder if They Have a Frequent Flier Plan?

You’ve probably seen this image: coronavirus expose-ees leaving the cruise ship in Japan, deplaning at an air base in the US.

    NOW, That’s a Surprise

I came at this one from a weird angle. One of the Pacifica Radio Archive shows I listened to was an interview with Betty Friedan (FTV074) @13:53 during a question period someone asks: [Read more…]

    Heading Toward The Balkanized Internet

The US has tried to assert its colonial dominance over the internet, and has acted as though it is its domain since the beginning. That has had a lot of policy implications, and has created a “karma debt” that I think we are only starting to confront.

How a Lie Keeps Knocking On

You probably recall the NSA’s lie about that they were only monitoring citizen’s “metadata” during their illegal data-collection program.
