I’ve been following the tribulations (and am looking forward to the trials) of Donald Trump. It’s fascinating, to me, the level of stupidity and bad lawyering that the republican fascist party has managed to scrape together.
I did this back in 2010, when I was speaking at a conference in NYC. As it happened, I had to drive because my favorite bus service was temporarily shut down, so I had the cargo capacity of a car.
I often hang out at Daily Kos, and it’s depressing how many ideologically pro-biden cheerleaders there are, there, as ideologically pro-trumpers, elsewhere. I guess the great game depends on having some on both sides.

One of the flaws I think many skeptics share is a love of consistency. If we’ve done any studying of philosophy, or even practiced thinking, we tend to feel that “but you contradicted yourself!” is a winning point.
There’s a trope going around, lately (i.e.: since 2016) that goes something like:
Person A: says something critical of democrats
Person B: (rageflail) If you don’t support democrats you’re setting us up for another Trump, and you’re killing the planet! You’re probably a Bernie Bro!
Last night around 4:00am I woke up briefly, obsessed with an invidious comparison.
Someone over at PZ’s, in a comment, mentioned “confederate flag toilet paper.”
