So the FBI was supposedly investigating Trump’s campaign quietly, while loudly investigating Clinton’s emails?
I’m unhappy about the way the anti-Trump media (i.e.: anyone who has any sense) is acting as if suddenly Comey is this great pillar of rectitude, now that he’s refused to play along with Trump’s game of the day. Please let’s not go back to “you can trust the FBI” because the FBI’s not playing politics incompetently for a change. They’re still playing.
So are we more or less mad at the dupes who cared about Clinton’s fucking emails such that Comey’s tactic worked in the first place?

I admit I was interested in Clinton’s bizzare and stupid lies around the mail server. But her lies are nothing compared to Trump’s. It’s disgusting that we have to choose between such people. I loathe them all – Comey included.
I’m also boggled that the NSA director is being treated like some kind of honest oracle. Apparently Clapper’s lies are a personal flaw in Clapper? No: the Job of Director of NSA is head of an organization that produces lies.

It made me think of that too, but what originally gave me the (admittedly weird) idea was an old sign they used to have at the Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore. It was neon letters that read “VIOLENCE” or “VIOLINS” or “SILENCE” superimposed. It burned for years and I used to be able to see it from my office so it got stuck in my head.
