    They Keep Trying

In 2021, I did a posting about Smedley Butler and the great Wall St banker’s plot to overthrow the US government. [stderr]

    The Real Thing

I used to work for a consultancy called Trusted Information Systems, back in 1990-1994, which was a big contractor for DARPA and NSA. That was how I wound up building security systems in some pretty interesting places including the Clinton White House.

    WTF “Nuclear Secrets”?

I have this fantasy, which is that someone gave Donald Trump a laminated card that said “launch codes: man, woman, camera, a plan, burma shave” or something like that. He’s kept it, of course, because it’s valuable.

Why Do We Let Ourselves Be Ruled By Garbage?

Contrary to my high school opinion, not all politicians are bad. Some actually appear to have decided that what they want to do in life is serve the public.

I Can Smell the Toxic From Here

We’ve got more discussion re: the martial arts to have, but this isn’t it. It’s related, though.

Spunky Conspiracy Theorists Are Still a Bunch of Jerkoffs

This one is so weird, so stupid, and so wrong that I’m sitting behind my keyboard, literally tugging at my hair.

What I believe we’re looking at is the intersection of QAnon believers, anti-vaxxers, and incels.

    Q

The Qanon conspiracy is so absurd and stupid, that I did not pay much attention to it. After all, only an idiot would spare a thought for…. What? There are millions of idiots taking this shit seriously? Are you kidding me?!

    Some Neeping About Code

When I came up with the name “stderr” for this blog, I was thinking about the way that the error-stream is unbuffered; that means that things come out in the order that they are printed, sort of like how I speak/write: blah blah blah unfiltered and there’s no “pause” button.

    Pseudonyms On The Internet

My attitude toward internet pseudonyms is probably a bit odd; I’m not sure, though. I don’t know if this will interest any of you, but “why not?”
