Fall Colors 2019 – 10

Last night it rained off and on all night. The entire night, was the “drip… drip…” sound of water on the metal roof.

In the front line of the trees, you can see there are no leaves any more. I guess those are the ones that caught the wind and the rain. But now the big sugar maples down by the pond are lighting up! When they’re done it’s going to be over.

Elsewhere, this is what the hills look like. This is the side of the road near Altoona. The whole mountain is changing. Next it will be snow or frost and the cycle will turn and everything will green up again.

The only places you see things like that here in Australia are parks. whenever i see photos of forests changing colour it always seems unreal.

It is good that this reminds me to be more appreciative of the view from my bedroom window every morning.

It does look like a very nice view, although i preferred it with more birds
To be clear, Australian forests are pretty in a different way. There’s generally beauty in all natural landscapes if you look for it.

I dunno, the Australian landscape does change colour in some places – but it’s more of a wet / dry thing.
