That’s right: Confronted with a small-scale illicit marijuana grow on public land, the [Pennsylvania] State Police deployed a helicopter and the on-scene bulldozer and managed to kill their target. But that’s not how the cops tried to spin it.
Brought to you with utter disgust and contempt, contempt for fucking cops, who seem to be good for only one thing: murder. Contempt for the puritanical, colonial bullshit which is a complete blight on Amerikkan society.

About 10 years ago I had a Toronto cop tell me that he wished more people smoked pot instead of drinking because it causes less aggression. Who knew a measly 10 pot plants could cause lethal aggression in the police.

I’ve talked to cops who’ve told me that drug use is just as prevalent in the force as it is outside; there are a lot of stoner cops. But it doesn’t seem to be mellowing the right ones.
Pennsylvania, US, is a special place. It’s the heart of the whiskey rebellion and the Homestead rebellion and countless wars between government and the people. They’ve never won against the government or the Pinkertons but the situation hasn’t changed much. Unfortunately, the part where I hang out has active KKK cells and truly scary authoritarian cops. You pretty much mess with them only if you are ready to die.
I’m surprised the police did not call in some ground attack aircraft from the Air National Guard.

Was wondering myself. A fast one? Not exactly a fine-toothed comb, though. Funny way to search, especially with all the thick undergrowth, knowing there’s a man out there. Huh.

I know it is a pipe dream, but I hope the officer and operator on that bulldozer are charged with and convicted of at least vehicular manslaughter.

I seriously doubt there will be the slightest consequence to the killer cop, they were busy trying to deny and spin the murder from the start. I’ll bet they find a way to put it down to “oh, a tragic accident, to be sure, but an accident.” I hope that NORML doesn’t let this one go, and they sue the hell out of them. All this bullshit over 10 plants? Hell, I grew more than that when I was in high school.
