Barcelona

Hello everybody and welcome to my first post here on Affinity.

In case I need an introduction, I’m Giliell, I’m German, a teacher, mum, crafter, and hunter-gatherer with a camera.

As I was uploading a metric ton of pictures from my recent holiday I offered Caine to run them as a series with explanations about the sites and sights and she kindly accepted.

Disclaimer: This is a tourist’s perspective on the city and its surroundings, and while I speak Spanish and kinda understand Catalan, I cannot claim deeper insights.

Having said that, let’s start this journey like I start every trip to Barcelona:

Yes! Oh, this is grand, and I’m so happy you’re here. I know you have many lots of bird shots, so if you want to post Daily Birds, go right ahead. I don’t always get them scheduled ahead of time. (You can see scheduled posts by clicking on ‘All Posts’ on the dashboard sidebar, and you can check what time by clicking on the ‘Quick Edit’ under each post, then clicking ‘cancel’ to close.

You probably noticed, but just in case, FTB blog time is wrong when it comes to posting. I usually have daily birds slated for 8:00 am, which means they post at 7:00 am. Charly generally has the 10:00am slot (actually posting at 9:00am).

I tweet all posts to Affinity feed as you know, but you can certainly post to yours and your other media accounts using the buttons under the posts.

I’m really looking forward to this!

Oh, one more thing (sorry for doing this here, but your email is on Hekate at the apartment) -- if you place this: {AD} at the bottom of your text or photos, on its own line, all ads will be forced to the bottom of the post, rather than getting in the middle and disrupting everything.

That music is fabulous. What a great way to start things off. I think you’re a good storyteller, so I’m looking forward to your posts.

In case I need an introduction,

    Who are you? :)

I am unlikely to travel myself anytime soon, but I will love to see the pictures and read your commentary all the more for that.
