Jack’s Walk

We’re expecting rain today and according to the forecast it’s going to be rainy for the next 4 days. Oh well, you know what they say…April showers bring May flowers. At least it’s finally getting warmer. It’s going up to +9º today and the weekend is supposed to get all the way up to +18º. Oh my, that will make the plants get growing and the trees start leafing and I don’t even care that it’s going rain. Proper spring is about to start and I can’t wait to see a bit of colour around here. I hope everyone has a good weekend, especially those of you who are battling with sickness…feel batter soon.

Hello Jack doing your buisiness in the back ground!

Is any of that tree still alive?

It”s been quite warm (almost 10 °C) and very sunny here, but they say it could snow 30 cm next week, we’ll see. That might change in the Court of Appeals as we say here.

I’m concurring on people having a good or better weekend, especially rq and Charly.

The tree was knocked over by another tree that was uprooted in an ice storm. It put out a few leaves for a year or two afterwards, but finally gave up.

I love the perspective and framing in this photo. An interesting find too, the way that wood is bent is quite evocative of how powerful nature can be.

We’ve been having quite a significant amount of rain and hail falling here since last weekend, sometimes with simultaneous sunshine and the resulting rainbows. It’s normal spring weather, beautiful, and after a dry winter we need all the water that can fall, so I’m not complaining. I’m complaining about work, though. Not much time to breathe lately.
