    Yes, subtle, I walked past the tree for days not realising it was in bloom. A sunny moment brought it to my attention!

    I got curious over what is this plant (and checked the Pfft): It’s Viburnum opulus from the temperate parts of Europe and this is probably the “snowball” cultivar of guelder rose. The wild form is called koiranheisi in Finnish (dog’s viburnum) and the snowball form is lumipalloheisi (snowball viburnum).
