Gingerbread Bonsai

Sorry for the rather poor picture quality, this was before I had money to spare for semi-decent equipment. One of my creations from a few years ago, I think 2011. I cannot say exactly, because in my old camera I had to set up date after every change of battery, so I ended up not setting up the date at all, because it was difficult and annoying.

Concurring with others (except about seeing trees in the tropics, having never been in that low latitudes).

The fallen leaves are a fine touch.

    That curl on the leaves.
Is that something that just happens in the baking or do you make it happen?

It was delicious, I ate it a few months later.
@chigau, that is made by baking the gingerbread on a curved surface. Like a spoon, or a half of a form for baking gingerbread eggs. Similarly the gingerbread bowl is baked on an ordinary stainless salad bowl.

Oh, I see: you waited for it to grow a little, right? How many times a week did you have to water it? :P
Seriously though, beautiful work. I wouldn’t be able to eat it (I’ve actually kept a marzipan trinket as an ornament for years.)
