Veggie Lightning:

Veggie lightning will also cut meat. In fact, it cut a chunk of Marcus-meat while I was sharpening it.

Handle is cocobolo with a wenge bolster. Blade is low layer-count 1095 and 15N20 pattern-weld. Currently it’s carrying a pretty extreme etch. The blade is differentially tempered; there is a dark region you can see by the tang which is pearlite steel; the rest of the blade is martensite/austenite. Unlike my usual work, this is a fairly thin blade (less than 1/8″ at the handle) the whole length, so it slices very very well.
