    It’s a pheasant all right… I do not know the type though. They are rightfully wary as people shoot them! But in addition to wild pheasants, people also raise pheasants for the purpose of hunting and then release them. Sometimes the ones raised in captivity don’t show quite as much wariness and can be approached slightly more easily. They are generally pretty spooky birds though, no matter how they grew up.
