Nice picture!
The cones on the ground look like Norway Spruce (Picea abies) -- I have a big one in my yard that drops them all over the place so I am pretty familiar with that particular type of cone.
The perspective on this completely threw me off. Part of my brain keeps thinking that they are big hills, and the other part rightly tells it that it#s silly because of the pine cones.
