Warbler Sitting in a Walnut Tree

Summer is in full swing one way or another (it’s been sunny, it’s been rainy, it’s been both at once!), I’m on vacation time until the end of the month, and between work (yes, I know…) and the kids and the opportunity for physical recovery (sleep! sleep! sleep!), I have spending a lot of time contemplating my life – for better and for worse.

I don’t know how soon I will return to more regular posts, so the irregularity shall be maintained for the foreseeable future.

Lovely capture. They are always so funny to watch and so difficult to photograph.

Sorry to hear you’re having to work during your vacation. It happens and it sucks. Hope you can get enough rest anyway and don’t worry, irregularity is fine. ♥

I keep hearing in my head the title of your post to the tune of “Blackbird” by The Beatles. It fits perfectly.

I confess this was an accident. I was hanging laundry Sunday morning and I saw and heard these birds in the tree. Ran in to get the camera, but set it a bit low because this one was mostly hanging in the lower foliage. I followed as best I could but she didn’t give me time to readjust my settings, which is why this is a bit overexposed. Later I checked what I got and I just loved the placement I got here (in other pictures, she’s overlapping the leaves and that beautiful outline is missing).
