I think I only took one class in Art. My critique, if I had one, would not even achieve the level of sophomoric.

You don’t need a degree for this one. :) The woman in the background is dressed, but you only know she has pants on because you can see the dark edges at the ankle. She looks as though she should be engaged in some sort of sexual activity, going by the rather awful sex face, but she’s all alone back there. There’s some sort of odd shed or cardboard box behind her, she’s smooshed up against some odd boulders, and both women are laying right on the side of the highway, because that would naturally be your first choice of a location for sexy fun times.

The woman in the background is on bare dirt; the grass starts just in time to conveniently cover the nipples of the woman in the foreground, who appears to be completely naked, with no clothing in sight, and she resembles a corpse, not a living, engaged woman. There’s a total disconnect between the two figures. That’s just to start.

I’m more freaked out by what appears to be an independent reflection on “Nylon” Jungle. Why the quotes, by the way? Was it not real Nylon?

  4. lumipuna says

Now I wonder what amounts to “complete” sensuality, whether that’s preferable to partial sensuality and whether one can be more than completely sensual.

(Not to get into cunning linguistics…)

  5. says

Eh, just a reflection of a person out of frame. No idea about the nylon. That’s quite odd, because Nylon Jungle was a common phrase. Oh, a quick search shows Nylon Jungle to be a ’60s adult magazine, so there might have been a copyright issue.

  6. lumipuna says

rq: Quotes are meant to convey it’s not any old nylon, but a colloquial shorthand for nylon fishnets. Possibly also fishing lines. All kinds of modern fishing implements jungled together into a deadly trap for small animals.

    Route 69

Ok . . . [salutes] . . . that’s . . . that’s hilariously fantastic. Some of these titles have really been giving me the giggles, but that one is both funny AND perfect.

(Yes, sometimes I am 44, going on 14.)

    Still learning,
