A Planned, Personal Thank You.

Pastor Greg Locke.

Tennessee Pastor Greg Locke is well known for his spittle-flecked invectives over most everything, but mostly over…women. Everyone knows everything is the fault of women, right? One woman made a donation to Planned Parenthood in Mr. Locke’s name, and he had a meltdown over it. He really, really doesn’t want anyone to ever do this again, so…

In the video below, he howls about the fact this thank you card was sent to him and wants to make it crystal clear that he doesn’t in anyway support women’s health care at Planned Parenthood. He warned that such donations in his name are a waste of time and he’ll deposit any thank you cards in the trash. So, whatever you do, don’t waste your time donating to the Planned Parenthood clinic closest to Greg Locke’s church—Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee—and don’t waste your time making sure a thank you card gets mailed to him at:

Adding him to the list. PP is getting some from our wonderful *spit* VP as well. :)

Damn, can we charge him for the extra syllable in interesting? Though what is interesting is that he claims that PP has killed “more innocent people than anybody else except radical Islam”. I guess Jewish babies were just not innocent enough…

At first glimpse, I thought the vertical stripes and gridwork behind the good pastor implied residency in Hotel Graybar.

    Alas, no such luck. Yet.

Also about his “Planned Parenthood is a very strange organisation to be sending me anything” line. I don’t know about that a libel lawsuit or cease and desist from lying about them letter would seem apt given his words here already.

Plus where in the Bible is Planned Parenthood even mentioned at all? Would it be the bit where Lot’s daughters planned their pregnancies or Tamar very cleverly and bravely planning her pregnancy with Judah? Of course, the USA let alone PP isn’t actually in the Bible at all and Jesus spoke a lot more about loving neighbours, not judging lest ye be judged and helping the poor than he did about abortion -- in fact Jesus never said a word about abortion at all. You’d imagine a pastor who supposed has read and knows that book would know that wouldn’t you? You (ok) I might imagine him recalling some things in that book he (not I) claims to believe in about bearing false witness, motes and beams in respective eyes and lying generally.

PP is already one of my most important charities. But this was extra special fun! Should I not have sent it c/o the Closeted Homosexuals of Global Vision Bible Church?
