    Such delicate leaves, and I love that reddish brown. That’ll be a nice addition to the spice cabinet when it goes to fruit.

    Yes! I have to remember to try and rabbit proof it over winter though. Poor little thing gets absolutely savaged by the wild bunnies when winter comes along.

    See, and this one’s all fresh fluorescent greens!
    I did not know rabbits eat sumac. I know we considered it a weed growing up because it was everywhere, where I am now it’s considered a decorative plant, but I like to mow down all the little offshoots that try to pop up on the lawn. Also, they call it the ‘vinegar tree’ (etiķkoks), but I’m not sure why.
    I love the bright delicate details in the last photo -- some of my favourite leaf patterns.
