For an ex-farmboy that Dead End sign is meaningless. Paved or gravel roads are nice but who needs them?
As long as you walk carefully and don’t hurt the plants, those trees in the distance look nice. Remember you need water. Corn fields can be hot and dusty but the rows are highways. Jack (and you) may need a bath after the trip but running along corn rows is lots of fun. If the corn is over head high the fun increases.
One should request permission from the farmer to walk there and assure them of no damage but I still say that tree line looks interesting.
It just occurs to me that I may not be getting the intended message here. Caine is talking about orange flowers? Is the photo something to do with the mowed area, bed frame and the piping? I would not even have noticed there was a bed frame if Charly had not mentioned it.
The key thing is the crop; who notices the stuff on the side of the road? That tree-line really needs to be checked out. From the photo it looks like it may have some interesting depth.
I do, for one. Tree rows can be interesting, and they can also be utterly boring. The same goes for corn fields. When you’re out and about, it’s worth opening your eyes and your mind, so that you see all the things. Tiger Lilies are gorgeous, and I quite like the bed frame being repurposed into a garden frame. It’s a delight when you see the inventiveness of people. Tunnel vision is not conducive to a good photo walk.
You’ll also find that most veteran walkers and photographers know quite well how to behave when out and about.

A fine flowerbed. The nasturtium leaf is always fun to look at.

Well okay, things on the side of the road can be interesting but only after one checks out the field/pasture/woods.

Jack and I always have water with us and you’re right that tree line does beg to be explored, but it was the bed frame, sign and lilies together that somehow struck me funny.
You’ve given me some ideas, though. Thanks!
It looks like a bed. I take the hint. I am off to mine now.
That’s interesting. And I love those orange flowers.
Tiger Lilies! They are all over in Bismarck, I haven’t had the chance to go walking and get photos yet.
All’s well that ends well.
