    An enfolding gully like in no.4 should include a magic cave but probably only contains a broken down old car.

    @#4, Lofty: which leaves you wondering, why is that old car in the arroyo? I’ve seen places where people hauled wrecked cars and dumped them in the arroyo to try and stop erosion. ?? It did not appear to work. Not sure why anyone would think it would.

    Love the roos! Around here you would see pronghorn antelope on the hill like that, with members of the herd beating a hasty retreat if you stop to take photos.

    @kestrel, once upon a time scrap cars were worth less than the cost of transport to the nearest scrap yard. Dumping then in the nearest gully made the farm look tidy. Then for a while the Chinese post GFC boom kept the scrap price high enough to make extraction of old cars worthwhile, at least within a 100 mile radius of the city. It’s back to nearly worthless now and dead cars will once again mount up in the hidden crevices of far flung districts.
