I’ve recently landed a new job and will have stretches of time with a routine task that are perfect for having a podcast in the background, and I need some recommendations.
Looking for any mix of political, philosophical, feminist, and/or funny.

Rachel Maddow has two podcasts that I’d suggest you try; “Rachel Maddow Presents: Déjà News” and “Rachel Maddow Presents: Ultra”.
I’m partial to Pod Save America

only one i’ve listened to twice is the tetrapod zoology podcast at tetzoo dot com, and it is not anything you’ve requested particularly.
I realize it’s probably pigeon-holing to recommend a trans podcast to a trans woman, but I like whatthetrans.com.
It ticks all the boxes of politics, feminism, and funny. But it is from the transphobic cesspit that is the UK so not exactly something one would listen to to cheer oneself up.

It’s staffed by some of the QI elves and they basically just pick some random facts of a scientific or historical nature and talk about them. Huge back catalogue and it’s usually not about current events, so you can easily enjoy the past episodes.
