I henceforth declare Jordan Peterson beyond parody

Bill C-16 came and passed, and now that Jordan Peterson has no steam for his conspiratorial ramblings about trans people, he’s taken a totally and completely unexpected turn to advocating for domestic violence.

University of Toronto professor Jordan Peterson went on a “little tirade” about “female insanity” and what he thinks is “undermining the masculine power of the culture” in a “fatal” way.

Peterson is a controversial U of T psychologist who has been making headlines for the last year over his refusal to recognize students’ use of gender-neutral pronouns.

Since then, Peterson has become a cult figure in corners of Canada’s conservative movement and the online alt-right, making an appearance at last year’s Manning Centre conference in Ottawa where he celebrated disgraced Breitbart columnist Milo Yiannopoulous, as well as crowdsourcing funds with the help of Rebel Media’s Ezra Levant, testifying at a Senate committee on human rights legislation and even inspiring policies adopted by Conservative leader Andrew Scheer.

A pedophile apologist, a thrice-libelous leaking ass-pimple, and a reboot of Harper’s software in marginally younger hardware. What unbiased company he keeps.

We’re going to disgest Peterson in brief nuggets here:

But in a new video published this week on the U of T professor’s YouTube channel, Peterson detailed his thoughts on why he believes men are unable to “control crazy women”:

“Here’s the problem:

Peterson’s entirely reliable history of framing problems will come in handy here, I’m sure.

I know how to stand up to a man who’s unfairly trespassing against me, and the reason I know that is because the parameters for my resistance are quite well-defined … We talk, we argue, we push and then it becomes physical. Right?

What? NoNo, you rambling neanderthal.

If we move beyond the boundaries of civil discourse, we know what the next step is, ok? That’s forbidden in discourse with women.

The sheer fucking chutzpah Mr. Debate Solves Everything must have to suddenly claim that assault is a means of conflict resolution.

And so I don’t think that men can control crazy women.

Men aren’t supposed to be controlling anyone. For fuck sake, how difficult can this be.

I’m defenseless against that kind of female insanity because the techniques that I would use against a man who was employing those tactics are forbidden to me

They’re always forbidden to you. Assault is fucking assault, you terminally clueless shitgibbon!

It seems to me that it’s sane women who have to stand up against their crazy sisters and say ‘look enough of that, enough man-hating, enough pathology, enough bringing disgrace on us as a gender’.

No wonder you’re the fucking posterboy for god damn Nazis. Jesus fuck, you owe me damages for this nonsense.

And he’s a clinical psychologist, folks. This man has a fucking PhD in psychology and can’t figure out why dismissing someone as “insane” is deeply damaging and unethical. Why hasn’t this abusive hack been fucking fired yet.

Maybe Peterson wants to move to That Place to the South and get a job with False Noise.

Either that or his colleagues need to give him one of their famous Interventions real soon.

    @1 Pierce R. Butler
I’m pretty sure he has tenure.

And I don’t think one is allowed to do lobotomies any more.

However since he seems to be advocating violence etc. his professional association, assuming he is licensed, might sanction him.

And he’s a clinical psychologist, folks.
I have always been suspicious of the clinical types.

what he thinks is “undermining the masculine power of the culture” in a “fatal” way.

He’s not much of a manly man. I’m just sayin’. If he’s going to be complaining about masculine power he needs to get some shredded muscles, and start getting a bit more aggro. Maybe take up boxing and get his pretty face punched up a bit, masculine-like?

I’m not saying he should – but if he’s playing the toxic masculinity suit, he’s gotta have the cards in his hand – that’s all I’m saying.

Not that I’m saying we should, but it seems arguments haven’t worked… so he’s clearly asking that we now push him.

It sure sounds as if what he’s saying is “The only way I can win an argument is if I beat somebody up.” I keep thinking that can’t be it, but there isn’t any other interpretation of his words that makes sense.

All that training for atheists debating theists sure was wasted — we should have been taking martial arts lessons.

No! No! He’s saying “the only way to make me listen is to beat me up.”
It’s all about context and subtext and stuff.

You ever notice how assholes who make a name for themselves by promoting reactionary politics almost always eventually turn out to be completely fucked in the head? Has James Damore done anything recently that indicates he’s as much of a train wreck as Peterson?

    @7

I’m not being paid enough to google more James Damore stuff. Though I’ll note that bigotry often possesses an internal logic, just based on untrue or untestable premises. It doesn’t mean insanity or brain damage.

Peterson’s very dedicated fanboys are getting caught in my filter. Y’all should know this post is not an argument. This post is the product of exploring Peterson’s positions for well over a year now. I make an actual argument here that you can examine. If you choose to reply to this post saying “this isn’t even an argument,” no shit. You’ll be banned for being annoying.
