Cooper reminds me a bit of Trump, trying to gain political deal-making points at other people’s expense (actually a widespread political phenomenon, I admit).
One key difference is that when Repubs do this, they fire up their core base; when Dems do it, they antagonize and alienate their base.
And then the Dems wonder why they get a reputation as corrupt chickenshits, and low voting turnout….
