But we do believe that — whether Black, brown, white, or blue — our nation and our very way of life is dependent on the principle of all people being served equal justice under the law. And it’s clear, the effects of the criminal justice system are not color blind.”

I don’t know how people even have the patience to explain this shit anymore, but I’m glad there are folks out there doing good work.
As for Ben & Jerry’s, I think I’ll have some ice cream for dinner.

OK that’s good, but…
Ben & Jerry’s (the ice cream not the people) is actually made by Unilever. And all the stores are franchises. So it’s not entirely clear who to support.
Besides, Unilever has a habit of selling similar or identical products under different brands, each of which is promoted with support for contradicting causes; for example, they might announce that Ben & Jerry’s supports Black Lives Matter while also announcing that Breyers supports some cop-worshipping right wing group and hope people won’t notice that it’s the same company selling the same product under two names with two contradicting causes.
Can we get Ben and Jerry’s here?
Groupies? All people in BLM are groupies now? Huh. Anyway, I read about this last night, and even though I rarely eat ice cream, I figured I’d pick up a container of Ben & Jerry’s. It’s nice to see people acting on their principles.
I expect it will be like Honeymaid, and Campbell’s, and a ton of other companies who have done similar, and the love will far outweigh the hate.
