I did not have a chance to take a bird picture for a long time, so I fumbled a bit when I saw this one sitting on the power lines in front of my house. First, I could not find a good vantage point, then I could not remember where my monopod was (it was behind me, standing in the corner where I put it), and lastly, I could not find a good contrast setting on my camera before it whooshed. So these are the best pictures I got, and I had to adjust the contrast and levels quite significantly.
