I think this youngster was on a serious mission of “food! feeeeed meeeee!”

Yes. That’s the newish deck.
Lovely bird. Magpies are very intelligent and inquisitive, but in my experience also very wary and take flight at the slightest offence. They are beautiful birds, especially in the right light when they sport all the shades of black that Death’s garden can offer.
