rq, I hope so. Found his way here, to food, although he was obviously not happy. He was very vocal, constantly sending out messages. As long as he can eat, I think he’ll be fine. Yesterday, he was in a crowd of sparrows, and looked so out of place!

We’re swamped (pun intended) with them most of the year, but ours pack up and leave before winter sets in. I haven’t seen one since October. Wetlands birds usually prefer their wet to be liquid.
Kengi, yes, most of ours disappear over winter too, but like Robins, it seems a few of them stick it out. Unless this babe really did get lost, but that doesn’t answer for why the hell his parents were still here and breeding a short time ago!
