Beautiful black kitty! Is it yours Kengi? We have a semi-feral black kitty that came with our house when we bought it. She talks to us and allows us to feed her and give her the occasional scritches, but she will not relinquish any control of contact with her.

Just one of a dozen or so ferals in the area. One of our neighbors feeds them and lets them shelter under her porch and garage, so there is a cluster around here. They supplement their diet with the peanuts I put out for the birds and other critters.
Some will even ambush me when I go out to feed the birds or when going to the garage. I’ve learned to never go out the door without some food. A different little black one, thin with the tiniest little meow, will get right under my feet and won’t let me move faster than a slow shuffle until I put some food down.
Sometimes when my dad and I sit outside, several of the cats will decide it’s social time and lounge around with us.
Every so often our neighbor tries to round the cats up to be spayed or neutered, but it’s a losing battle. There are three new kittens just starting to learn the territory now. Very conflicted about them. Adorable as heck. Love having them around. But… You know…

Is the cat slightly squinting in the last picture.
Looks like there are individual white hairs on the cat. Is it a lighting artifact or for real?’
I like the last picture.

The first photo was taken from an upstairs window since I didn’t want to disturb its sleep. The second two are from outside right after it woke up, so yeah, it was squinting around in the morning light. It didn’t even notice me until that third picture.
Yes, those are white hairs on the cat. Adorable.
