This week Opus has sent us an interesting fungus that he found growing on his property.
Finally had a little time for photography so started with some fungus from the property. I have no idea what this is, or why it grows in square segments, but it is striking.

An organized looking fungus.
It found a dropped sandwich once and now is trying to lure its prey by looking like squares of white bread.
It looks like it is grilled already. Or maybe I’m just hungry.
I’m curious about the blue flecks. That’s not a colour I associate with fungus.
