I haven’t seen any others so far, so it seems that if you are a nice lady woodpecker looking for a handsome lad then Florence might be your guy. Comes with a garden run by people who have decided they are not lazy but environmentally friendly.
Woodpeckers do not seem to make pairs, as far as I noticed. Some birds do come in easily recogniseable pairs of male+ female (like bullfinches and blackbirds), some come in mixed flocks, but woodpeckers only ever come solo. I have both male and female woodpecker visitors, but only rarely at the same time so it does not seem they are a pair.
That makes me think that bullfinches make long-term bonds ans woodpeckers do not.
