Getting back to work on the basilisk. The white is just gesso. In today’s art assistant tales: Vala takes a break from trying to burrow down the back of my jeans, to get a drink of paint water, then she dunks her whole effing head in the water, then shakes all over. Sorry, I didn’t get pics ’cause the card wasn’t in the camera. Clickety for full size.

It may be just gesso, but the white looks great, too. Still, I can see there’s plenty more colour planned!!! That is an awesome shade of blue.
Thanks! The main body will be yellow, white is reserved for highlighting. The blue is a mix of acrylic and transparent airbrush paint. It’s a fab combination.
Cant wait for the whole thing to be finished.
So the rats not only climb inside the puppet then propel the puppet, they climb inside the paint then spray the puppet. From this we can conclude they climb inside your jeans then go hide in the puppet before you work out what they just did.
Thanks, Charly! Workin’ on it. :D
Blf, something like that.
LOL! (Sorry, you probably didn’t find it as humorous)
Enjoying watching the process and looking forward to seeing the completed item.
Jim, actually, I did. About fell over laughing. Have no idea of what she was doing, but she did it deliberately. :D
“I can wreak havoc even without opposable thumbs!”
Chigau:
Oh yes! The water was no thing; after that, Vala investigated the pallette, ate some heavy body copper paint, then decided to clean it off her hands by wiping it all over my clean brushes.
Well, duh. You wouldn’t try to clean your hands on *dirty* brushes, that’s just silly.
(Staying tuned in for the next exciting episode of The Adventures of Vala the Brave. (cue 80’s TV theme music))
Jim:
Good point. :D
