That duck seemed only mildly concerned that a large human on a bicycle was taking an interest in its grooming. Fortunately for it the human went away before needing to flee to the safety of the river.
Beautiful bird, but it is apparent that the handrails’ columns are favourite perching sites :-).
I’ve noticed that birds in general tend to be less concerned about photographers when they are in the middle of a groom. It seems to be a rather involved process, which they don’t like interrupting to move off elsewhere.
