As far as you can see, mountains of snow. Today, snowing. Very fast, very heavy. We’re getting buried. No idea if we’ll be able to get out at all this week. Rick had just managed to get the van dug out yesterday, which needs a new battery, because frozen. I’m not liking winter.

The birds look none too pleased, too.
Caine says
They’re going to be less pleased when I can’t feed them -- going out today, I noticed the weight of ice under the snow has pulled the deck away from the door and wall. The damn thing’s gonna collapse.
Ice Swimmer says
Ouch. The winter is getting way out of hand. Sadly our mild snowfall here cannot pull the moisture out of the air on that side of the pond.
chigau (ever-elliptical) says
Thinking warm dry thoughts at you.
Ice Swimmer says
Seconding chigau!
Caine says
Thank you. I’ll think them too, and avoid windows.
Nerd of Redhead, Dances OM Trolls says
Raining here in Chiwaukee at the moment.
Snowing in Dah YooPee where I lived. No surprise there (only 81.5 inches to date).
Charly says
We just had a homeopathic blizzard today. It seems that this winter will fall on first weeks in January, just like the previous one. However I do not envy you. I hope the roof holds.
rq says
Oh no, I do hope the deck (and the roof) hold out!
Going to go with chigau here with the warm dry thoughts.
Giliell, professional cynic -Ilk- says
Hope the roof holds.
We’ve been promised a cold (for our parts) January, I hope the guys get the heating finished because I really don’t want burst pipes.
Crimson Clupeidae says
Yikes. Hope things hold up.
Here in AZ, I just got back from my first bike ride of the new year. It’s cloudy and overcast, but still in the low 60s(F).
Stay warm!
