Steve King targets WHOM, exactly?

While I know that this topic has been covered elsewhere on FtB, I couldn’t help noticing something that others had not yet mentioned. Steve King’s racism about “our babies” caused him just enough political discomfort that someone in the media decided to take his racism halfway seriously. The Hill decided to ask some follow up questions, but missed out on the single most obvious follow up presented by King’s self-defense.

His original statement of all-too-credible racism was this:

“[Geert] Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies,”*1

Which, for those too kind-hearted to think he means anything other than that citizens, of whatever race or ethnicity, should get with the gettin’ it, he clarified with this statement:

I’d like to see an America that’s just so homogenous that we look a lot the same, from that perspective,

Yep. “Look the same”. That’s fine. I’ll just wait over here for you to put on a pantsuit and rosette (or skinny jeans and a vintage ABBA t-shirt, I suppose, depending on whether you’re cleaning house at the moment) to blend in visually with the majority of USAmericans of your age group.

Wait, what? You don’t want people of different genders to look the same, you just want certain races or ethnicities or nationalities to be invisible.

Huh.

Well, moving on, King, according to The Hill, believes that this is a defense of his racism:

Living in enclaves, refusing to assimilate into the American culture and civilization. Some embrace it, yes. But many are two and three generations living in enclaves that are pushing back now and resisting against the assimilation

Two and three generations? If your group goes two or three generations without assimilation into the mainstream of US culture, you’re an enemy of the people? Your children are not “our children”?

Since you’ve specified that you’re talking about mainstream, white, Euro-American culture, I won’t bother asking why you haven’t learned to speak Hotcąk. Instead my question is about what you intend for the people who have been here 15 to 20 generations while refusing to assimilate? Those who actively resist and even insult mainstream culture, who oppose every effort at progress made possible by USAmerican culture and creativity, who stand as active antagonists of even the education that makes our nation possible, when will you name them, arrest them, deport them?

In short, what are you going to do about these Amish who refuse to assimilate, Steve King? What?

*1 Geert Wilders being a Dutch politician and notorious racist.

If homogeneity is the goal wouldn’t some shade of brown (achieved by a ban on same colour marriage perhaps) be where we would end up.

I’d like to see an America that’s just so homogenous that we look a lot the same…

Apparently neither King nor the Nazis applauding his statement realize that he thereby calls for exclusively interracial baby-making from now on.
