The really great thing about this is it would not have been possible if Peterson’s media behavior didn’t consist mostly of ridiculing people for petty reasons.

Not just ridiculing, but talking down to, and other was of making it clear that he considers himself far smarter than everybody else, and the keeper of the TRUTH(tm).
Also, he contradicts himself not exactly rarely -- I believe I saw something similar on Youtube a while ago that was less edited but contrasted actual points he made at different times … actually, a short search comes up with a number of those. It seems it’s not an uncommon idea.
