To be honest, the fellow reminded me of my husband wading into water that is colder than a tub…

I read “monday mercury splash” and thought: “Oh no!”
But hurray for penguins!

Quite the opposite, then, of what my children look like wading into a 12 degree sea… (Yes, this happened once. They lasted a surprisingly long time, considering it was below 20 degrees and windy outside, but alas, in the end they are not penguins. Even so, getting them out was accompanied by varied commentary such as “My lips aren’t bbbbbbbblue!”, “I can stop chattering my teeth if I try, see? That means I’m not cold!”, “Five minutes in the sun and I’m going back!” (there was no real sun that day…), etc. In the end, they agreed that dry clothes and a hot drink would be preferable. So, not penguins.)

That’s quite human-like behaviour.
Small penguins are so cute.

Penguins look so awkward on land. This one even has a bit of comedy about him.
