BTW, I just recently learned that these flowers are also called Tiger Lilies. I’ve always used that name to refer only to Lilium lancifolium, of which I have two colours in my garden, orange and yellow (I’m just waiting for the yellow one to open to send you photos of them both). Interesting how such different flowers can share a common name!
I look forward to seeing them, Nightjar. The ones at home are a deep orange; these were in front of the hospital, but there is one bunch of them down from the apartment which are a delicate shade of lilac, I have to get shots of those.
