Our Eastern Redbud is in full flower right now. And yesterday, there were about 100 bees of all sizes happily sexing up the tree.

Our Croci are come and gone. Right now, the only flower out front is some Paperwhites.

I like your plant/flower photos. Thanks.

This is my Trillium Woods, just outside Woodstock, Ontario in a place called Sweaburg. It is my happy place.

Wow, those Jack-in-the-pulpits are really motoring along!

Still haven’t seen an open trillium yet (I bet TWPP has a really good microclimate, so is a bit ahead of us.)

quotetheunquote it has been quite warm here for a few days. Things are just exploding in the forest. In a few days the canopy will fill in and the light will get all moody and interesting.

Aaaaaah, nooooo! Make it slow down!

When the canopy fills in (as it does, but more quickly in these warm spells) I can’t see the warblers any more.

I wish I could slow it down, but all around me leaves are filling in almost by the hour. Spring is just so ephemeral. I suppose that is part of its beauty.

My wife and I went up,to Longwwood Gardens last year on April 21. The trilliums were out, all over one spotted shade hillside along with Virginia Bluebells. beautiful.
Few years back took the day after Easter off and drove to the trillium woods in Warren County VA. Amazing sight.
