For anyone actually interested, this sees the expanse of ultra very light mocha done, somewhere in the neighbourhood of 38 hours or so. I had to pull in a couple of different colours to finish, but had enough to fill most of the area. I really need to stock up on thread, because I was using the ultra very light mocha on the bit of background all the way to the right, too.
Thread, mixed with art and time creates an illusion of depth and heights.
Yes! That’s hard to capture photographically. The different knot sizes and different stitches all have their own particular feel to them. I’m pleased with the tactile sensations so far.
In other words: Wow!
Thank you so much. It’s so easy to get worn down, doing this kind of labour intensive, long-term piece. Most of the time, it doesn’t feel very rewarding at all.
