Most likely a Black-Eyed Susan leaf. The area is dense with those plants at the moment and the shape looks right. But it’s hard to say for sure since so much is growing there.

Hmm, seems about right, those are some of the furriest flowers out there, this time of year.

I keep picturing your backyard as a low-level jungle.
Technically I’m in a prairie state, but am surrounded by wetlands, so everything does indeed grow jungle-like. We even have a lot of vines that grow up through the trees. One of them is blooming a deep orange flower now way up in the tree tops. I wish I could get up there for a good picture. I’ll try to take a few from my upstairs window even though the distance will be problematic.
