I will give up another secret! There were several bees inside the poppy making the best of it, moving around and hovering in convenient locations, all their attention on the poppy goodness. All I had to do was select the framing, and voila, ‘candid’ ‘bee landing’ photo x15 in my camera! :) Personally what I like in that photo is the drop of rain on the outside that I didn’t see until afterward.

I love the paper-like of poppies, they’re a treat to photograph in the right light (and pretty much all the time, captured some rainy ones today).

They are a photographic treat, it’s really hard to make a poppy look bad.

The first looks downright volcanic. The petals are like glowing walls of a (phantasy) crater. Beautiful.
