I always used to love how this one restaurant I used to go to had “penis plants” at all the tables. Very subliminal!
The pink ones look like strawberry ice cream. Mmm.
Apparently the “petal” is a spathe and the flowers form a spadix.
Every time I see these someplace (they’re popular in restaurants and business settings) I have to touch them to make sure they’re not fake, because they look so plastic. Latex. Anyway, you could probably put a fake one next to a real one and I would have a hard time telling them apart. :P Would be neat seeing them growing in the wild / outdoors, though. Just to confuse the brain a bit. :D
