Let’s put the Koch Brothers’ evil in perspective

I don’t actually believe the Koch Brothers are the anti-Christ. It’s just that they’re so, so fucking evil. In every way evil can be measured. Right now those two diseased humans are one the biggest forces trying to end any hope of affordable insurance for all Americans. Here’s just one tiny example of the needless suffering these assholes hope to make more widespread and more universal for millions of us: [Read more…]

Mitt Romney’s science lies are just one small piece of a very big picture

Romney’s science flip-flops are well known, but this week Rachel Maddow rightly calls Sketchy out as the stone-cold liar he is, and it’s a thing of beauty to behold. If you’re pressed for time, just skip to the 6:25 mark and enjoy. On a related note, why in this media-saturated info-rich modern-day enviroment do we have to depend on a handful of shows, two of them on the Comedy Channel fer crisakes, to get accurate news? I have part of the answer, but often struggle with reducing the totality to a single manageable post, and any contributions or links on that would be appreciated.

Illinois primary primary results

But whatever the term, last night’s GOP debate was disappointing. There were plenty of losing statements, few zingers, and the biggest loser of all had to be CBS news, which could not manage a live stream feed and cut off every decent answer with a timer buzzing or need to go to a 5 minute commercial break. CBS even managed to accidentally send Michelle Bachmann’s campaign an internal email about how they would ‘limit her” in the debate. Epic Fail. [Read more…]

A cheater, a heretic, and a hustler

That’s what the GOP field boils down to for the fundamentalist base of the Republican Party. Bible thumping dominionists, associated neoconfederate racists, and a handful of reptilian corporate overlords have to choose between a serial adulterer, a flip-flopping heretic, and a controversial hustler. Right now the hustler leads by a hair, but insiders say the heretic is favored by the big money boyz and will thus probably prevail in the end. No one is giving the cheater much of a chance right now: [Read more…]
