I love these, especially the last one!
I find jays incredibly difficult subjects, at least around here they are very shy. But they’re such beautiful and intelligent birds. And yes, they may look innocent and cute, but I’ve seen them tearing and eating blackbird nestlings more than once. I have also seen blackbirds relentlessly and successfully chasing jays nearly to exhaustion to protect their nests. Blackbirds are only slightly smaller than jays, so when an attack happens it can go both ways.
