I’ll bite: The head is a spare head for Thot, to be used when going ibis-headed would attract too much attentiob.

At first glance, I thought those were egrets, but they are Great Blue herons in their white phase (I’m pretty sure, I need to check my European bird book to see of there’s any other herons that look like that).
