Quipu aren’t all that useful if you don’t know how to read them.
I don’t think I’ve had this problem with embroidery thread. I have had worse with yarn though. Apparently, sometimes the yarn breaks, and rather than discard the skeins, the manufacturer will knot the broken ends together or connect a new strand to the old if one runs out, and finish winding the skein. It’s particularly annoying when there’s multiple breaks fairly close together.
We don’t need to invent artificial intelligence, it already exists. We just have to harness it and use it. (See also: headphones, shoelaces, power cords, etc.)
That looks like a rather small Quipu, perhaps one of those nanoquipus the mildly deranged penguin says Inca technologists were working on?
It’s quite possible I have been invaded by the Quipu. The thread keeps knotting in solidarity.
And I’ve had to use a laying tool for every ####% stitch. *grumbles*
The thread seems to be having a bad day too. [hugs offered] for you, not the thread. It’s a great color, though.
