More nostalgia of Rats past. Amelia. I still get completely choked up when I think of her, I miss her so. She was so very special. My little facehugger. The facehugger business is explained here.

Hand on the edge of the cup does a lot for the picture.

My warm thoughts for the memory of the special one!

Not trying to cause a negative reaction, just curious: what is the lifespan of your rats? I get so attached to my cats, and when I have to have them euthanized, it breaks my heart. But cats live pretty long lives. The shortest I have ever had one live was about eight years, and the longest eighteen. I would find it hard to get attached and have to go through the grief every year.

    Johnson catman @ 6:

The average lifespan of a rat is 2 to 3 years. Some live less, and some live longer. It’s tough to lose them, like it is any animal, but they are also so very worth it.

Wow, that’s one special companion you had, Caine.

    Very-belated condolences on your loss.
