One of my favourite Walter Sorrells’ videos. I like the idea of recycling old stuff into new, beautiful things. In fact I like that much more than making things from new materials.
It was Walter Sorrell’s videos what inspired me to try and build my own belt grinder.
Sorrels has put a huge amount of work into explaining things. I love when people do that. (Torbjorn Ahman’s blacksmithing is also a joy to watch)
But is it still Grandfather’s machete?
Yes, it’s still Grandfather’s machete. Terry Pratchett explained all that in The Fifth Elephant.
I think that preserving the manufacturer’s mark was very neat. And I concur with Caine, it most definitively is still Grandfahter’s machete.
